Our Niort House

In the absence of Rosemary here to write a ballad about our house, I resort to too many photographs.  They will convey the mix of owner’s decoration dreams all rolled into one house. We might’ve felt more kindly towards it had there been a seat that was comfortable and some generosity on the basics eg toilet paper, bath towels, tea towels, dishwashing soap… and yes… a top sheet.  We rearranged the furniture to be able to watch tele. The lack of comfort and basic deprivations aside, we have loved staying in this big spacious three storey house with its big views from the windows, big sunny yard and pebbled driveway’s crushing noise made by the wheels of our fabulous Lynk &Co hire car.  Not to mention the beautiful river immediately outside and great location. I’ll write about Niort next post and there you will read Rosemary’s Ballad of Ile de Re from May 1988…

Beautiful sunny area and view to the yard.  Sad that the windows and doors were sealed 😫

Tele moved as much as the cables allowed, uncomfortable metal fold up chairs and table moved to make room for the  uncomfortable couch 😃

The lounge room minus very uncomfortable couch now moved to the tele/dining room

We moved the couch from here to the tele/dining room

  2. It was fab really. Grand house, pretty outlook, good walk to town across bridges… Really hoping Milly La Forêt has a comfortable seat though
