I have just landed in Ho Chi Minh airport and am 4 or so hours away from boarding my flight to Paris. I wish:
- I had slept last night
- I had fewer clothes on (there, I have just shed one layer and feel heaps better).
On Graeme’s advice, I bought a pass to the Apricot Lounge and am so glad I did. I’m reclined in an (albeit broken) big massage chair and I reckon it is good for napping. I neeeeeed a big nap.
The ever reliable Irene arrived on time to have coffee, salute my packing and take me to the airport. You know you are in great hands when Irene is involved in your endeavour. Eg she reminded me that my carry on bag was still in the car when I waved her goodbye! I was pretty tired…
The flight here was really quite good. Michelle from Wagga was great company in the seat next to me and we are now connected through Facebook. I’m not ready to rave about Vietnam Airline’s Premium Economy, but I was comfortable and had enough room. Maybe I should rave about it… I watched two films - Tar and She Said, loved them both. I’m just hoping that the entertainment offerings are much much more on the 13.5 hour flight to Paris.
I’ll sign off now and leave you with my Vietnamese airlines itinerary and provide the rest when I am rested:
Next stop: Paris Charles de Gaulle airport and a coffee with Elaine and Kath at Brioche something before I fly to Oslo!
